About Our Cafes

Our cafes strive to provide the campus community with an exceptional and convenient dining experience on a daily basis focused on customer service. Our menus include a wide variety of drinks, soups, sandwiches, salads, and snacks designed to accommodate those with dietary and nutritional needs or preferences. Vegan, kosher, and halal menu items are offered daily (while supplies last).

Sandwiches
Café sandwiches are made fresh daily. Our dedicated staff produces nearly 1,200 sandwiches a day featuring fresh bread such as focaccia, sourdough, whole grain croissants, and baguettes – all baked in our very own UConn bakery!

Salads
Over 250 salads are made fresh every day using fresh-cut greens and the finest ingredients!

Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee
We offer bold and flavored roasts and are proud to serve Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee, including other fine coffees made right here in Connecticut!

Whether you are coming into the Benton Museum to enjoy the artwork or just looking for a nice place to study or meet up with friends, the Beanery is the place for you! This café is located in the lobby of the Benton Art Museum on campus and offers comfy and eclectic seating inside and an outdoor patio. The first Thursday of every month the Benton will host some fun activities and music. The Beanery stays open until 6:30pm during First Thursday events so you can grab a drink or snack while you are there. Check the Benton calendar for upcoming First Thursday details. Hitting the books at Homer Babbidge Library? Take a study break and visit Bookworm’s Café located on the plaza level in the 24-hour study room. We offer a variety of hand-crafted “With The Grain” sandwiches and “Fresh Harvest” salads made daily on campus. Need an energy boost? CrossRoads Café in the Wilbur Cross building has a unique menu; offering plant-forward options that will satisfy meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike. Our goal is to serve "Healthy, wholesome cuisine that nourishes the body, feeds the soul, and helps the planet." 

In addition to making plant-based options more obtainable within the UConn community, we also strive to educate and spread awareness on the importance of sustainability. Through student leadership, the Crossroads Events Management Committee will coordinate and host events on a range of topics relating to the plant-forward movement. nanoByte Cafe

nanoßyte Cafe - Daily Menu

Located in the new state-of-the-art Science 1 building, nanoßyte café offers freshly brewed coffee, specialty coffee drinks, Boba milk tea, homemade pastries, daily soup/mac and cheese, and hot artisan sandwiches. Grab-and-go items like fresh salads, wraps, and a variety of snacks are also available. nanoßyte also offers patio seating in the spring, summer, and fall. Cafe Phone Number: 860-486-1590
